27th August 2016
Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip
Wind Direction: East
Wind Stength: F4
Surf / Sea State: flat to lumpy
Air Temperature: warm
Sea Temperature: warm
Weather: sunny
Max Speed: 23.77 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 15.10 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Had the best session for a while on Sat at the dip arriving just after mid to low tide 10 ish. All the usual sailors out on a variety of rigs from 6.0 to 7.5. Rigged 7.8 E type North with 146L JP pro ride and had the perfect sail. Always under powered till later at the end, the sailing was comfortable if you didn't go too far out, where the sea was pretty big. Runs were straight out off the beach to starboard and on the gybe beat to the kite zone for the flatter water, so nice long runs.
Gybes were OK on the inside flat water but dodgy on the outer rough stuff. Most people were planning constantly, but heavies would drop off a few times.
Didn't find enough flat water to get speeds I normally clock . Tried to get to river but no wind so just sailed from kite zone to river marker. Had to leave early for Wed Anni' so disappointed but just after packing up the wind went F5 so well happy as I would have had to derig. Spent the rest of the day at the spa knackered, so perfect windsurf day. Switched back to my regular seat harness after trying waist seat combo for a month. Jury is out on final decision. The waist / seat combo thing is definitely more comfortable, but that's because it don't generate the same power loading when sitting down in my seat harness locked down. The seat is worst for gybes but its definitely faster in a straight line. Felt much more comfortable when sitting down in the seat, as could sheet in hard.
Had burn ups with Swainey, and happy with power loading as there was nothing between us flat out in either direction.
Maybe run 2 harnesses, waist and seat, prob is adjusting harness lines length.
